Novel caches

So i've been a bit bad at blogging since the sun came out. To be honest just too busy enjoying the summer. However, we did such a different geocache today I thought I would make a special effort!

We've been slowly working our way through a large series placed not that far from us. The series is quite different and the titles are all based on book titles. There are about 40 in the series so not really one big loop.

A lot of them are disguised containers, so not your traditional cache type at all! For example here is the cache for Novel Cache Adrian Mole The Cappuccino Years

They can therefore also be a quite difficult because they are not your usual under a pile of sticks or base of tree type hides.

Anyway more about our favourite find of this series today. This one was called Novel Cache The Jungle Book

At first we struggle to find it and then "mmmmmm where does this string go? Bit unusual"

"It wraps around here, but then seems to go even further up...."

".......uh....what's that? It seems to be a monkey..... Could that be the cache?"

"......daddy I think I've found the cache.....it's up here....LOOK..."

So daddy helped me get the cache down:

And the nano log was in it's foot!

How clever is that! So we will definitely be giving this cache one of our favourite points!

Today was also a bit of a landmark for me because we also found our 400th ever cache! (and did our best ever caching month!)

Can't wait until next weekend - wonder where we'll go next?

  1. Loving that Jungle Book cache, I'm impressed you didn't attempt to maul the monkey. Congrats on your 400th find.
