Hamble Rail Trail Trek

I love walking along the Hamble Rail Trail.  The Hamble Rail Trail is a 4.5 miles (7.2 km) long circular footpath in Hampshire, southern England, comprising a path which runs alongside a disused railway track that connects Hamble-le-Rice to Royal Victoria Country Park and part of the Solent Way:

This is a route we often do
We have walked this many times before and never knew there we're hidden treasures along the way.  So armed with out new toy off we set to see what we could find....

Our first find was at This Could be The Pits:
<span class="LogImgTitle">We must be close now? </span><span class="LogImgLink"><a href="log.aspx?IID=623c5ddb-a84b-4aa8-ac4d-bc79150c24f0&LID=133958368">View Log</a> <a href="javascript:pp('http://img.geocaching.com/cache/log/623c5ddb-a84b-4aa8-ac4d-bc79150c24f0.jpg');">Print Picture</a></span>
We must be quite close?
Do reckon it's in the brambles?
Dad found it!
The ground was quite unsteady here and I'd never been in this field -  it's just off the trail close to the Hamble Railway Station.

ooooo Our First ever Geocoin

We had never had a geocoin before so we were really pleased to find one here.  It even had a picture of a Bulldog on it so it was obviously meant to be found by a doggy like me.  We're going to take it to the New Forest soon, put in a good cache and then see where it goes from there.

Then off we went to see if we could find Sidetracked.  It started raining and Mum and Dad spent ages trying to find this one......they had the wrong bloody post!!!!  Was not happy - even whimpered - walks are meant to have lots of walking involved.

Finally got them moving again, had to chase some squirrels to vent my frustration.  Off we went to see if we could find Sidetrack.  We got to the right location but only dad was tall enough to find this small cache.  After three finds we were all quite pooped so we all went home for an afternoon snooze.
