Icy Forest Trek

Lots of good sticks in the woodland area!

Seeing as it's Boxing Day I thought I'd take Grandma on her first Geocaching Adventure.  So as we were in the New Forest it made sense to take in a couple of Caches nearby.   So we set off out to Puttle's Bridge.  Our first location was not far at all from the car park:

Traditional CacheBen's Ramble

Mum was first to find the location of the cache.  There were loads of trackables in this spot.  We picked up two to take on with us: A Cachekinz: Bev's Bug and a German Travel Bug.

We got a self inking stamp for Christmas to use in the Log so we were able to use it for the first time today too :-)

We quite liked this spot so we have marked it as one of our favourites.
Very icy conditions

Then off we trekked across the icy forest, heading for:

"Careful Bingy"
Now as the name of this involves the word Bog we decided to stick to the paths on this one.  However, the bridges across the bog and parts around it were very icy!

Grandma nearly went over at one point and the two leggers even all held hands at one point going over a bridge! BOL

Anyway, eventually they all managed to get to the location and started hunting.  We found the cache spot quite quickly:

We didn't take anything out but did place a Octopus Jelly Mould in.  Then we tried to head back in a loop towards the car, but even with the GPS the two leggers got a bit lost.  By the time we got back I had very Frosty Paws and was ready for a cosy cuddle.
