Ladycross Route

(The contributor of this photos is Jim Champion)
Mum and Dad are still learning and trying out all the new features on our New Toy so Mum tried out the planning and following a route feature.  I love Ladycross in the New Forest because I go off exploring in the woods.

When she first planned the route she got a bit carried away and the walk was over 8 miles, we ended up doing 6.5 miles in the end.  We started south of the road for a change so we could find Knockin' On Oven's Door.

Knockin' On Oven's Door took us right into the wood canopy which I loved because it meant lots of really good sticks!

The cache hide was actually in a fantastic Yew Tree and one of our most favourite cache locations to date.....

Get my nose in
Dad tries to find it..

Found it !

We loved this location so much we thought it was a worthy hiding place for the geocoin we picked up a fortnight ago.

When they were busy logging the find I played by the tree click here to see what I got up to!

Then we carried on walking around Ladycross.  There had been a lot of forestry work going on and Dad thought the signs that said we were to keep off the wood stacks was funny:

Then we included another geocache in our route:  Trains and Tadpoles  - must admit we didn't see any Trains and it's the wrong time of year for tadpoles.....However we did find the cache:

oooo interesting container

It started to rain then and we all got quite wet on our route back to the car which spoilt the walk a bit if I'm honest.  The good thing was we had Sunday dinner waiting for us at the Grandparents.
