Swimming!

One of my most favourite things in the whole wide world is swimming.  I think I even prefer swimming to eating (which as a dog is saying something, as a half lab is really saying something!)

Some of my doggy friends think I am half seal, well today I even swam with one for the first time !(well I was in the sea the same time as one nearby so that counts doesn't it?)  Here is a picture of the seal from today (sorry it's not a good picture but he was a bit shy and Daddy was panicking about me being attacked by a seal (do seals eat dogs?) to really concentrate on getting a picture:
The seal is the lumpy thing in the water - as I said dad not great at capturing the moment!

So seeing as I had such an exciting swimming moment today I thought it was about time I shared with you some of my swimming mantra's to demonstrate just how passionate I really am about it.......

1. When I go swimming I really can't wait to get in the water:
2. I won't get out, not even to beg for the next stick or stone to be thrown; I'll simply sit and wait in the water:
Sitting down in the water
3. If I can't go swimming because of the tide I cry and shake:
4. I wag my tail the whole time I am swimming:

5. Why walk along the shore when you can simply swim?  No sticks, no stones, no gimmicks.......just swimming:
6. Sometimes I'll even stand on my hind legs to rest rather than coming into the shallow and risk being told it's time to get out:
Standing on my hind legs - I am not coming out!

 7.  It really doesn't matter what time of day it is:
Swimming in the dark is not a problem!

8.  Rain or shine is also fine:

Rain
Shine!

9.  Sometimes others join me, but I am quite happy to have the water to myself:

10.  In fact I spend so much time in the water I have made my collar rusty:

Collar rusty from soooooo much swimming
I wonder if I'll be lucky enough to win a waterproof Cinch-it collar from PetsafeUK so that I can can carry on swimming?  I think a red or orange one would look very fetching against my black, seal like fur! (hint, hint)
